Dr Fahim Anwar is a Consultant in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) with specialist expertise in neurorehabilitation, major trauma rehabilitation, and the long-term management of complex neurological disability. His clinical practice spans the full rehabilitation continuum, from hyperacute inpatient rehabilitation within major trauma centres to long-term community management. He has a strong interest in the early integration of rehabilitation into acute care pathways, the rehabilitation of traumatic brain injury, disorders of consciousness, limb loss, and functional recovery in complex polytrauma. Dr Anwar is recognised for his detailed medico-legal assessment work, where he provides expert opinion on catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, and the long-term functional and rehabilitation needs of claimants.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr Anwar is actively involved in teaching, research, and service development. He leads undergraduate and postgraduate education in PRM, contributes to national rehabilitation initiatives, and regularly presents on trauma rehabilitation, neuroplasticity, and the evolution of hyperacute rehabilitation services. He is committed to advancing evidence-based rehabilitation practice and improving outcomes for individuals living with severe and life-changing injuries.
