Dr Jan Gawronski has been a consultant physician at the London Spinal Cord Injury Centre at the RNOH since 2006 and has extensive experience in the lifelong care of spinal cord injured patients from the time of admission to hospital, through the initial episode of inpatient rehabilitation to long term follow up including social and vocational rehabilitation. He has particular experience in children and young people with SCI and in the medical and multidisciplinary management of chronic pain after SCI.

Dr Gawronski has held a number of medical leadership positions including chair of the consultants committee at the RNOH and chair of the national training committee for rehabilitation medicine. He has prepared condition and prognosis reports for high value spinal cord injury personal injury and clinical negligence claims since 2016
