Dr Rajesh Munglani is a Consultant in Pain Medicine based in London, who treats complex pain conditions such as spinal injury pain, neuropathic pain, cancer-related pain, and complex regional pain syndrome.
He began his career in academia, as a Research Fellow and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, before becoming Director of the Pain Relief Service at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Later, as a Consultant and Lead Clinician at West Suffolk Hospital, he developed a multidisciplinary pain service, and subsequently held honorary roles at Guys and St Thomas and Royal Papworth Hospital.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Munglani is a writer and speaker; until recently, he was senior editor for Pain News for the British Pain Society.
He was an adviser to the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsmen for over a decade.
He was made an honorary member of the British Pain Society and in 2023 was elected Vice President.
He writes medico-legal report for the Courts and is equally instructed by both claimants and defendants.
