Daniel Birchall is Consultant Neuroradiologist based at the Regional Neurosciences Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. He trained at Cambridge University, qualified with MRCP and FRCR, and completed Neuroradiology training in Perth, Australia. He attained the higher degrees of MD and Executive MBA, became a Senior Editor of the British Journal of Radiology, and published more than 100 papers and abstracts. He has been Head of Neuroradiology Service, and was appointed as Royal College of Radiologists du Boulay Professor in 2017. He was elected to the Presidency of the British Society of Neuroradiologists in 2021 and as President of the World Federation of Neuroradiological Societies in 2023. His medico-legal practice encompasses paediatric and adult Diagnostic Neuroradiology and he has prepared over 2,500 medical reports over the last 20 years.
