Deborah Foong is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham. In her NHS practice, she manages complex extremity trauma and limb salvage surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She is also the principal plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Birmingham Sarcoma Unit. She has a specialist interest in amputee surgery and runs a multidisciplinary specialist amputee clinic. She is the lead plastic surgeon performing osseointegration surgery for British Veterans at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham. She also manages the long-term follow-up of Veterans who have had their osseointegration surgery performed elsewhere.

She provides medical reports on behalf of Claimants and Defendants in both personal injury and clinical negligence cases. She provides these in her areas of specialist interest including complex orthoplastic trauma, multiple injuries, limb salvage surgery following trauma or cancer resection, upper and lower limb injuries, amputation, complex arthroplasty, bone infection and sarcoma.
